Define the Disintegration - underwater inspection of bridge?

Disintegration of concrete may be defined as the deterioration of concrete into small fragments or particles resulting from any cause. Disintegration may be differentiated from spalling by the mass of particle being removed from the main body of concrete. Disintegration is usually the loss of small particles and individual aggregate particles, while spalling is typically the loss of larger pieces of intact concrete.
