Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)
Autonomic Nervous System functions without conscious control of central nervous system. This system controls the functions of cardio-vascular, gastro-intestinal, respiratory systems and also urinary bladder, temperature regulation, pupils and sexual organs. It helps in maintaining our internal environment. The Autonomic Nervous System functions with two sub systems: sympathetic, parasympathetic and neurotransmitters: acelylcholinc, adrenaline and non adrenaline. They have opposite effects, if one stimulates the organ; other inhibits it and vice-versa
