Define Risk assessment

Risk  assessment  has  been  described  as  the process  of  organizing  information concerning a particular  risk in  a systematic way  so  that the decision makers  can better understand those factors that  contribute to the risk and any uncertainties that may  affect the outcome of  an  assessment.

Risk assessment  is  a scientifically based process  of  evaluating hazards and the likelihood of exposure to those hazards, and then estimating the resulting public health impact.
