Assignment Help:

Define Regulation of Water Balance For the kidneys?

The kidneys are highly efficient conservators of body water. Although the kidneys filter 180 L of blood per day (125 ml / min), the urinary output is in the range of 1-2 L for 24 hours. Before the urine leaves the kidneys, variable amount of water and various solutes are reabsorbed by the renal tubules. This ability plays a major role in maintaining blood volume within normal limits. The eventual urine produced after reabsorption has occurred, is collected hl the bladder and excreted periodically.
