Define Reagents for seliwanoff's test?

- Sugar solutions of glucose, fructose, galactose, lactose, maltose, sucrose and starch

- Resorcinol in dilute hydrochloric acid (1:2)

Caution: The reagent is strongly acidic. If you get any on your hands, wash them immediately. If any is spilled, add bicarbonate solution to neutralize and then wash it up.
