Define Hormonal and Receptor Proteins?

Hormonal proteins: Hormonal proteins coordinate the bodily activities. Several peptide and protein hormones (like insulin and growth hormone) carry information that regulates cell permeability and cell metabolism.

Receptor Proteins: These are built into the membrane of a nerve cell and they detect chemical signals released by other nerve cells. Receptor proteins are includes in the cell's response to chemical stimuli.
