Define Heat Capacity Ratio?
To find Cp/Cv of a gas, one occasionally uses the following method. A certain amount of gas with preliminary temperature T0 pressure P0 and volume V0 is heated by a current flowing by a platinum wire for a time t. The experiment is done twice first at a constant volume with the pressure changing P0 to P1 from to and then at a constant pressure P0 with the volume changing from V0 to V1. The time t is the similar in both experiments. Find the ratio Cp/Cv (the gas may be considered ideal).
(a) Explain the terms: 'magnetic field strength', 'magnetic flux density' and 'permeability' of a magnetic material. Write their SI units. A current carrying conductor is placed
Longitudinal Waves: The traveling waves in which particles of the elastic medium vibrate about back and forth along the direction of propagation of waves are called longitudina
Cermets are a hybrid mixture of ceramic and metal. These are made by screening a mixture of glass and metal oxide on to a ceramic substrate. It is then fired at a temperature high
I''m transmitting microwave radiation from antenna to satellite..so when radiation(photons) is transmitted, how they interact with the molecules in the atmosphere layer by layer..I
what is Friction When we think about friction, there is one more place for energy to go - heat. When you push a book across a table, does the energy of the book change? Not if in
State two conditions to obtain sustained interference of light In Young's double slit experiment, using light of wavelength 400 nm, in terference fringes of width 'X' are obtain
if A=[30.1, 21.4 degrees] and B= [25, 40 degrees] what is the magnitude of the sum of these two vectors
Show any two applications of beats. What are "Echelon effects" and "Focusing"?
Explain the Adding Waves? When two waves come from the same light source, the light waves are coherent, meaning that the phase difference between the waves is constant in time.
(i) Electric field lines come out of positive charge and go into the negative charge. (ii) Tangent to the field line at any point gives the direction of the field at that point.
