What is the difference among Free Electron Theory and Band Theory of solids?
Free Electron Theory:
This theory says that, metals conduct electricity due to the presence of free electrons in it. The outermost shells of metal atoms will be loosely bound with their nucleus. So the electrons in it are free to move anywhere in the solid.
These electrons are known as free electrons and these electrons are responsible for the conduction of electricity.
Q. What are the various energy losses of a transformer? Energy losses in a transformer: (a) Hysteresis loss (b Copper loss (c) Eddy current loss (Iron loss) (d)
Where is the electric potential because of a single negatively charged particle a maximum? Answer: One could acquire at this one by looking at the formula for the electri

An 8 kilogram mass resting on a frictionless horizontal surface is attached to a spring with a force constant of 50 Newtons per meter. If the velocity of the mass by the equi
The discovery of neutron becomes very late because: (1)Neutrons are present in nucleus (2)Neutrons are highly unstable particles (3)Neutrons are chargeless (4)Neutrons
Q State Lenz's law. Lenz's law declares that the induced current produced in a circuit always flows in such a direction that it opposes the change or cause that produces it.
Q. State Brewster's law. Brewster's law the digression of the polarising angle is numerically equal to the refractive index of the medium. That is tan ip = μ
