What is the difference among Free Electron Theory and Band Theory of solids?
Free Electron Theory:
This theory says that, metals conduct electricity due to the presence of free electrons in it. The outermost shells of metal atoms will be loosely bound with their nucleus. So the electrons in it are free to move anywhere in the solid.
These electrons are known as free electrons and these electrons are responsible for the conduction of electricity.
PN-Junction Diode: Introduction: An electronic device which is made by linking together P-type semi-conductor and N-type semiconductor is known as p-n junction diode or a
a closed organ pipe resonates with frequency 6hz and an open organ pipe resonates with frequency 12Hz. if the two organ pipes are joined to form a single organ pipe then it will re
Who discovered Proton? In 1886 Eugen Goldstein discovered canal rays (also called as anode rays) and showed that they were positively charged particles (ions) formed from gases
Discuss the diffraction of light through n slits using plane transmission grating.
What are "Overtones" and "Harmonics" ? How are they build in an open pipe? Derive the mathematical equations for the frequencies of the harmonics produced in an open pipe.
Q. Illustrate the Newton s laws of motion? Answer:- 1. A body at rest will stay at rest and one in motion will remain in motion until and unless acted upon by an external
The stress at which the specimen breaks or reptures ultimately is known as ultimate strength. We also called this TENSILE STRENGTH .
What are sheathed fibers? The optics, which has an external cladding whether transparent or opaque, affords a mechanical protection to the optics.
what are the advantage and disadvantages of light reflections
Q. State the law of conservation of electric charges? The entirety charge in an isolated system always remains constant. For instance Uranium ( 92 U 238 ) can decay by emittin
