Define Field Test used to Assess Aerobic Capacity?

A field test that has been used extensively in nutrition studies to assess aerobic capacity measures Heart Rate responses to sub maximal workloads. A decreased heart rate for a given work load indicates superior aerobic capacity. The test has taken the form of a standard step test such as the Harvard Step Test. These concepts are further described under specific tests.
