Q. Define Decision Support System?

Ans. The decision support system is an information system application which help decision making. DSS tends to be used in planning or analyzing and alternatives and trial or error search for solutions. ADSS as a system that offers tools to managers to assist them in solving semi structured and unstructured problems in their own. In other sense A DSS is an information system that support to managers for decision making. A DSS is the intellectual resources of individuals with the potentials of the computer to improve the quality of decision.

ADSS can be described as a computer based information system that aids a decision maker in taking decisions for semi-structured problems.
