Arterial vessels are every blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the tissues, arterioles and Arteries are arterial vessels, Arterioles are thin arteries that end in capillaries. Not all arteries however contain arterial blood (highly oxygenated blood) the pulmonary artery and its ramifications, arteries that carry blood from the right heart ventricle to the lungs, contain venous blood.
