Define Application of Electro Discharge Machining

1. This process is used for shaping carbide dies and punches to give any shape or profile.

2. By this process die casting, stamping, forging and injection molding can be easily produced.

3. EDM has been successfully used to drill very small diameter hole in such hardened parts as nozzle for diesel engine fuel injectors.
