Define about Abstraction-  object oriented systems

Abstraction is one of the most important ideas of object oriented systems Abstraction focus on the necessary, inherent aspects of an object of the system. It does not signify the accidental characteristics of the system. In system development, abstraction provides focus on what an object is believed to do, before deciding how it should be executed.

Abstraction using protects the freedom to make decisions for as long as possible, by avoiding transitional commitments in problem solving. Today's most of the languages provide data abstraction. Abstraction provides ability to use inheritance and ability to apply polymorphism provides capability and extra freedom for system development. When you are using abstraction throughout analysis, you have to deal with application-domain concepts. You do not have to design and make execution decisions at that point.
