Computer aided synthesis, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

The basic aim of synthesis in design process is to provide information which can tell you how to improve the design. In general the synthesis process gives many alternatives of design the one most profitable and optimum must then be selected. This selection process may not be easy task. One way is to evaluate the performance of the system by varying various parameters and observing the performance. Computer aided synthesis made this process more effective and efficient. Presently artificial intelligence the so called expert systems are available to make decisions in such situations. These systems involve domain knowledge like experts and heuristics used by the experts and simulate the insults as if expert judgment. An experts systems may consists of the followings components such as:

a. A knowledge base the source of facts and histories associated with the given problems.

b. A context a global data base with histories and heuristics and .

c. An inference mechanism a process for achieving this decision and results.
