Composition of Bile - Liver and Bile Stored in the Gall Bladder
There is a slight difference between the composition of bile produced by the liver and bile stored in the gall bladder. Liver bile is alkaline (pH 7.7) and gall bladder bile is neutral or slightly alkaline (pH 7.0 - 7.6). The differences in the composition of bile produced by the liver and bile stored in the gall bladder are highlighted in Table.
