Classify bones structurally and embryologically(developmentally).

Structural classification of bone:

Macroscopically can be classified into two types, compact and trabecular bone. Compact bone is dense corticated bone which makes up outer surfaces of most of the bones. Trabecular bone is spongy, cancellous and constitutes the inner surfaces of bones, also containing the marrow.

Microscopically , are also classified into two types, immature or woven bone and mature or lamellar bone. Immature bone is formed earlier and more rapidly than the mature bone which replaces the immature bone. Embryologically, osteogenesis is  classified as Intramembranous(membrane bones which ossify in membrane) and Endochondral (cartilagenous bones which ossify in cartilage)
