Q. Show basic Classification of hypertension?

Unlike many other diseases, hypertension develops insidiously (without symptoms). In 90% of hypertension cases, the cause is unknown. This condition is called essential or primary hypertension. Rest of the cases with hypertension do have an identifiable cause and are said to have, secondary hypertension. This means that hypertension is caused by some other problem such as diabetes, thyroid and adrenal gland problems and kidney disease. Figure presents the classification and manifestations of hypertension.
