D-Sat (District Satellite Project) circuits for rural connectivity via satellite are in operation. Purpose of this project is to connect most difficult geographically isolated mountainous region of Nepal. This system supports a back haul link for CDMA and GSM BTS. There are 26 stations in 15 districts connected through Ku band terminals.
