Calculate the ratio of the areas of three sectors, Mathematics

Assignment Help:

A circular disc of 6 cm radius is divided into three sectors with central angles 1200, 1500,900. What part of the circle is the sector with central angles 1200. Also give the ratio of the areas of three sectors. (Ans: 1/3 (Area of the circle) 4 : 5 : 3)

Ans: Ratio of areas = 120/360 Π x 62 : 150/360 Π x 62 : 90/360 Π x 62

= 12 Π : 15 Π : 9 Π
= 4 : 5 : 3

Area of sector of central angle 120o =120o/360oxΠ r

(i.e.)1/3 of area of the circle.
