Blood Vitreous Barrier:
The blood vitreous barrier consists of three components: Tight junctional complexes at the level of vascular endotheliuin, pigment epithelium of retina and non pigment epithelium of ciliary body. Basal laminia of vitreo retinal junctions: It blocks the passage of large molecules. Vitreous Cortex: Cortical vitreous effectively blocks the movements of cells, macromolecules and cations.
