The procedure of blending (mixing) powders is taken out for the following objectives :
(i) To obtain uniformity (since the powders made by various may have different sizes and shapes).
(ii) To improve special physical and mechanical properties and characteristics to the powder metallurgy product.
(iii) Addition of lubricants to the powders improve the flow characteristics of powders.
