Bit serial associative processor (bsap), Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

Bit Serial Associative Processor (BSAP): When the associative processor accepts bit serial memory organization then it is known as bit serial associative processor. While only one bit slice is involved in the parallel operations, logic is very much deduced and thus this processor is much less costly than the fully parallel associative processor.

PEPE is a case of distributed associative processor which was designed as a special purpose computer for performing actual time radar tracking in a missile environment.

STARAN is a case of a bit serial associative processor which was designed for digital image processing. There is a very high cost performance ratio of associative processors. Due to this reason these have not been commercialized and are limited to military applications.
