Biostatics: This is the application of mathematics in living organisms. Biostatistics is a contraction of biology or statistics sometimes it is called as biometry or biometrics. In other word we can say that biostatics is the application of statistics to a wide range of topics in biology. The biostatistics science encompasses the design of biological experiments, especially in agriculture or medicine, the collection, analysis or summarization of data from those experiments.
Despite the frequent necessity or fundamental importance of statistical reasoning, there may have been a tendency between the biologists to distrust or deprecate results that are not qualitatively apparent. Educators of biostatics are now adjusting their curricula to focus on more quantitative concepts & tools.
