Biodegradable polymers, Chemistry

Assignment Help:

Biodegradable polymers

These are the polymers that are degraded through micro-organisms in an appropriate period so that biodegradable polymers and their degraded products do not reason any serious influences on the environment.

In biological systems, biopolymers degrade majorly by enzymatic hydrolysis and to a few extent by oxidation. Hence, in show of the disposal causes of polymer waste and for developing polymers for another safe uses in human systems, tried have been build up to develop biodegradable synthetic polymers. These synthetic polymers generally have functional groups that are generally available in biopolymers and lipids.
