Assignment Help:

Battery Inspection :  A fully charged and properly maintained battery is essential for proper lighting and starting of the motorcycle.

STEPS

  • Remove the right side cover and inspect the battery.
  • Remove the battery and observe that the electrolyte should be between the 'MAX' and 'MIN' mark given on the battery.
  • If the level is below the 'MIN' mark it should be topped up to the 'MAX' level with distilled water.
  • Check the specific gravity of the battery fluid. Specific gravity is checked with the help of HYDROMETER in each cell of the battery.
  • The specific gravity should be between 1.24 - 1.27.
  • Battery is inspected for voltage by the help of a battery tester or a Multimeter.
  • If the battery is undercharged it should be charged by a battery charger with a charging current of 0.25 A.
