Basic Concept: Like any fine machine a motorcycle can be split into various systems like lubrication system, transmission system, electrical system, etc.
It is important that a technician understands the basics of a motorcycle and its various components so that he can understand the functioning and importance of each and every part. This would help him to do quality service and ensure that the troubleshooting is done according to the standards set by the company.
It may happen that a particular problem is related to manufacturing of more than one components of the motorcycle. For example, if there is misfiring in the motorcycle it can be due to faults in one or more of the following :
We shall discuss about these later. It is essential to understand all the basic functions of a motorcycle and its parts that perform these prescribed functions.
