Q. Applications of high temperature materials?

A brief description of materials of construction used for common high temperature components in furnaces, boilers, superheaters, reheaters, expansion joints, and flare tips is presented below. The high temperature range for common bellows materials is presented in Chart #6. This range is defined as the temperature range where the time-dependant properties of creep rate and stress-rupture dominate the allowable stresses.
