Antiaromaticity - Hydrocarbon

Planar cyclic conjugated substances, less stable as compared to the relating acyclic unsaturated species are known as antiaromatic. Molecular orbital computation has provided that such compounds comprise 4nΠ electrons. In fact these cyclic elements that have   electrons are termed as antiaromatic compounds and this characteristic is termed antiaromaticity.
