A generic algorithm is mostly analysed on basis of subsequent parameters: the space complexity (amount of space required) and the time complexity (execution time). Generally we give much more significance to time complexity comparatively to space complexity. The following section specifies the criteria of analysing complexity of parallel algorithms. The basic parameters needed for analysis of parallel algorithms are as follow:
• Time Complexity
• The Total Number of Processors Required
• The Cost Involved
Q. Why are high-speed memories required? Is the main memory not a high-speed memory? The answer to second question is absolutely 'No' though why so? Then if memories are slowe

Tools for Performance Measurement The reason behind these algorithms has been to gain a speed up and improve the performance. After the parallel algorithm has been written and
Q. Main drawbacks of CD-ROMs? The main drawbacks of CD-ROMs are: It is read only thus can't be updated Access time is longer than that of magnetic disks. Very
Efficiency of Vector Processing over Scalar Processing: We know that, a sequential computer processes scalar operands one at a time. Thus, if we have to process a vector of len

Operations of the Web mainly depend on hypertext as its means of interacting with users. But what is hypertext? Hypertext as such is the same as regular text that is it can be read
Q. What is Drawbacks of CD- ROM? Drawbacks of CD- ROM are as below: 1. It is read-only and can't be updated. 2. It has an access time much longer than magnetic disk dri
