Analysis of parallel algorithms, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

A generic algorithm is mostly analysed on basis of subsequent parameters: the space complexity (amount of space required) and the time complexity (execution time). Generally we give much more significance to time complexity comparatively to space complexity. The following section specifies the criteria of analysing complexity of parallel algorithms. The basic parameters needed for analysis of parallel algorithms are as follow:

• Time Complexity

• The Total Number of Processors Required

• The Cost Involved
