  9. To determine the kind of labour required to do the job.
  10. To determine the time standards of performance of the job.
  11. To provide estimates of the cost of tooling and equipment needed to manufacture new products for the purpose of quotations.
  12. To determine part changes necessary to ease manufacture or reduce cost.
  13. To assist the product engineer in the design of the product that will be feasible and economical to make.
