African Customary Law

However African customary law may be specified as the law based on the customs of the ethnic groups that constitute England's indigenous population. Now section 3(2) of the Judicature Act 1967 giving that the High Court and all subordinate courts and the Court of Appeal shall be guided through African customary law in civil cases whether there one or more of the parties is subject to it or affected through it, so far as it is applicable and is not repugnant to justice and morality or inconsistent with any written law.
