Advantages of the Job enrichment:

1. It may be stated that the Job enrichment benefits employees and organizational in terms of increased motivation, performances, job satisfaction, job involvement and reduced absenteeism.

2. The additional features which go into an enriched job shall meet certain psychological needs of job holders. For example, the more the skill variety, identity and significance a job has the more meaning, sense of achievement and variety the employee will experience.

3. It may be stated that the work is an important part of one's life. Work related issues dominate one's behaviour whenever he or she is. Job enrichment efforts suggest which adds status to one's job, is naturally a strong motivating and satisfying factor in his / her life.

4. Job enrichment efforts help stimulates improvements in the other areas of the organization. Successful changes involving Job enrichment efforts suggest that the HR managers can consider both work and workers as variables in the developing a more effective organization.

5. The concept of empowerment is a by product enrichment. Empowering means passing on authority and responsibility. Empowerment occurs when the power goes to employee who, then experiences a sense of ownership and control over their jobs. Job enrichments demands delegation of accountability and hence the need for the empowerment.

6. Job enrichment, however, should not be taken as a cure all; in the first place, the success of the Job enrichment is contingent upon the urge, on the part of an employee, to take more responsibility. If the employee is lazy or does not give due attention to his / her job, Job enrichment will not have the desired outcomes. Then there are problems of resistance from unions, increased costs of design and implementation, and limited research on the long term effect of the Job enrichment.
