Maxillofacial Prosthodontics involves the prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with congenital or acquired defects of the oral or facial areas. Application of the technology of osseointegration has provided treatment options with improved prognosis for these patients with partially resected mandible, maxillectomy, and for supporting extraoral prosthesis like orbital, auricular and nasal prosthesis.
