Identification and preparation of materials for binding
Recording of all such materials requiring binding
Specification of the style of binding, lettering and special instruction to the binder in accordance with the library binding policy.
Reviewing materials, especially periodicals and other special materials prepared for binding
Maintaining current records of material in the process of binding and permanent records of materials bound
Compiling statistics of binding in terns of the style of binding and of the divisions/ sections of the library from which the materials was received.
