Assignment Help:

Nuclear medicine imagining devices :
Imagining ,or producing pictures of the distribution of the radioactivity is the most important aspect of nuclear medicine.

Rectilinear scanner
-It use a  NaI(Tl) detectors.
-Two images are made of the radiation distribution
-It use a focused  collimators
-A few scanners have two detectors focusing each other.

Gamma camera
-    It produces an image while stationary.
-    It has a large NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal about 1 cm thick and 30 to 45 cm in diameter.
-    The scintillation are viewed through a light pipe by an array of 19 or 37 PTMs.
-    A computer can be used in conjunction with gamma camera to obtain quantitive information.
-    A parallel hole collimator is usually used with gamma camera
