In this assignment, you will investigate the low-carbon technology that would be most suitable to provide heat and power for a domestic building.
• Using information try to identify the main energy demands associated with a domestic building (e.g. electricity for lighting and appliances, space heating, hot water etc.)
• With knowledge of the demands in your building investigate the technical characteristics of the below technology:
1. Engine-based combined heat and power, gas consumption.
The assignment hand-in should take the form of a short report in which you should: identify and justify the main building energy demands; describe the characteristics of the above technology, giving pros and cons (including costs) ;
Q. Explain about 'Emitter Follower'? EMITTER FOLLOWER : An emitter follower circuit shown in the figure is widely used in AC amplification circuits. The input and output of the
(a) Show the equivalent NOR realizations of the basic NOT, OR, and AND gates. (b) Show the equivalent NAND realization of the basic NOT, AND, and OR gates.
Draw and explain the block diagram of DMA controller. The fundamental idea of DMA is to transfer blocks of data directly between peripherals and memory. The data don't suffer t
Explain the Construction of Synchronous Machines? Basically all synchronous machines require a DC excited field winding in order to produce magnetic flux. For majority of machi
Q. Explain Current and Magnetic Force? The rate ofmovement of net positive charge per unit of time through a cross section of a conductor is known as current, i(t) = dq / dt
Condition Return Similar to conditional jump and call instructions there are conditional return instructions also based on various flags.
Voltage is referred as Potential difference among two points. Potential means its force. I think so.voltage defination is 100% correct.
AC Motors DC motors that have their magnetic fields produced by coils as described earlier can, in principle, be powered from AC as well, since if the applied voltage reverse
Q. A transistor in a fixed bias amplifier circuit was replaced by another transistor of beta equaling 150 instead of 60.if IB of transistor is equal to 100 microampere and collecto
Q. An n-channel JFET having V P = 3.5 V and I DSS = 5 mA is biased by the circuit of Figure with V DD = 28 V, RS = 3000 , and R 2 = 100 k. If the operating point is given by
