Occupational Structure

The occupational structure brings to light the division of entire functioning population of an economy. The working population is further classified on the grounds of three segments i.e.

Agricultural or Primary Sector- The agricultural sector encompasses individuals who are involved in agriculture and associated activities like mining and fishing.

Industrial or Secondary Sector – The industrial sector is concerned with production and processing activities and constitutes all large and small scale organizations.

Tertiary or Service Sector – The tertiary sector involve several services like banking, communication, trade, transport etc.
