Higher numbers of sit-ups are preferred, and the academy calculates the results separately for males and females. Summary of statistics for the sit-ups portion of the fitness test is the following:

Males: Mean of 80, std dev 3.7

Females: Mean of 80, std dev 5.2

Victoria who is a female completed 89 sit-ups and Manny who is a male completed 96 sit-ups
