Regional Consolidation Centers
A footwear company has a number of manufacturing facilities (shown by blue circles) around Asia, as shown in Figure below. There are five manufacturing sites in China, three in India, and one each in Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan.
At present Singapore and Hong Kong also have the facility to act as regional consolidation sites (shown as blue squares).
The company wants to start exporting to the North American market. Draw new regional consolidation sites on the map and show the flow of material from manufacturing sites to these new regional consolidations sites using arrows on the map, where the flow of exports to the North American market could be consolidated.
