My current job is for a large company that is very well-known. When you put in for a transfer or even an application for the job, it doesn't give you a direct job analysis or even to be fair a competency modeling. This is an issue because people just get put anywhere and it causes for someone to get within the location and realize they aren't fit for the job and end up just getting transferred somewhere else which was training time, potential legal issues, problematic encounters. Before getting your job you should get a description of the location and the job qualifications and skills needed for this place to see if you're the right fit and decline or request something different after the fact.
