You are the HR manager of a Danish telephone company that has its headquarters in Copenhagen. This Danish telecommunication multinational organisation has a subsidiary organisation based in Mumbai in India, which operates in effect a call centre. A Danish manager is being transferred from head office in Copenhagen to manage the Mumbai operation. You are asked to write a background paper on the employment relations and human resource management issues that will impact on the working life of this manager in India .
