You are a student of bachelors of business with specialisation in economics and finance. Its your placement year and after going through lot of rejections and hardwork you have finally secured a job in ‘ctdiaustraliapty ltd'. The company is currently dealing with the manufacturing and repair of eftpos for allover Australia. Attached is the position description of your new job.

Now, you have submitted this job description to your university for an approval to commence your placement year with this role company. While the approval is pending you have already started work.

Meanwhile, waiting for approval you sent message to university saying- Role isn't limited to what's written in position description. I am getting to learn a lot. I am managing all the records, making sims on hand reports, Allocating materials to different departments, doing quality check on Efpost's, also handling invoices.

In response to all this you university replied saying-

The academic co-ordinator has reviewed the position description, but based on this is not clear on how the role will utilise your economics and finance knowledge.

I also note that you mentioned that the role is more extensive than the job description suggests.

Note- keep it in mind that university is after, the emphasis on economics and finance alongside business role. Alongside you may also focus and write about how this role and experience is important and would overall support your goal of starting a career in business development.
