Using the data presented in Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Issue 6523.0 Household Income and Wealth, Australia, 2013-14, write a report commenting on income and wealth distribution in Australia in light of CST Preferential Option for the Poor and Vulnerable.
Your report should detail current income and wealth distribution and how it has changed over the last ten years. Your report should use a variety of graphs and charts to visually present your data (as per Week 3 Topic), various measures of central tendency and variation (as per Week 4 Topic) to describe income and wealth distributions, and time series and index numbers to present changes over time (as per Week 5 Topic).
You should then consider your data in the context of CST Preferential Option for the Poor and Vulnerable and conclude as to Australia's performance in respect to this principle.
Note that the Preferential Option for the Poor & Vulnerable principle considers "the purpose of economic activity is to advance all members of society including the most poor and vulnerable". According to Francis I, "the measure of the greatness of a society is found in the way its treats those most in need".
Marking Guide:
Appropriate use of graphs and charts to visually present your data
Appropriate use of the various measures of central tendency and variation to elucidate income and wealth distribution
Appropriate use of times series and index numbers to demonstrate change in income and wealth distribution over time
Discussion of income and wealth distribution based on statistical data presented in light of CST
Find out coefficient of restitution
: A 1-lb ball A is traveling horizontally at 20ft/s when it strikes a 10-lb block B that is at rest. If the coefficient of restitution between A and B is e=0.6 , and the coefficient of kinetic friction between the plane and the block is µk = 0.4,

Suspended from parallel cords
: The two blocks A and B each have a mass of 5 kg and are suspended from parallel cords. A spring, having a stiffness of k = 60 N/mc , is attached to B and is compressed 0.3 m against A as shown.
|
Difference between the total kinetic energy
: If the cars meet and couple together, determine the speed of both cars just after the coupling. Find the difference between the total kinetic energy before and after coupling has occurred, and explain qualitatively what happened to this energy.
|
Determine the magnitude of the horizontal force p
: The single square-threaded screw has a mean diameter of 25 mm and a lead of 7.5 mm. The coefficient of static friction is µs = 0.25

Determine if it is possible for the 185-lb woman to hoist
: what smallest force must she exert on the horizontal cable? The coefficient of static friction between the cable and the rock is µs = 0.2 , and between the shoes of the woman and the ground m's = 0.8 .
|
Determine the frictional force between blocks a and b
: Blocks A and B weigh 75 lb each, and D weighs 30 lb. Using the coefficients of static friction indicated, determine the frictional force between blocks A and B and between block A and the floor C.

Economic policy recommendations for monetary policy
: Economic policy recommendations for monetary policy, fiscal policy and growth policy - justify your chosen policies in an understandable manner, with the use of economic theory.

Determine the horizontal force developed on the board
: The clamp provides pressure from several directions on the edges of the board.
