Assignment -

For this assignment, you will write pitches for two story ideas. Your pitches should provide an overview of your ideas, why each is worthy of writing about, and the approach you would like to take. You should also include the interview information or the background research the piece will require and your plan for completing this research step. Each pitch should be one page in length and include a compelling opening and a catchy descriptive title. The pitch should also reflect your developing authorial voice. The authorial voice will progress as you develop your pitch later into a working draft. This step should simply reveal the authorial voice.

Important: After submitting your pitches here, post a copy to the Final Project I Milestone One (Writers' Workshop 1) discussion topic for the peer review that will take place in Module Three. During the workshop, your peers will provide you with feedback that should help you think critically about your writing and choose which of these two pitches you want to continue to develop into your final story.
