You need to explain all parts of both questions. 

1. Assume that you are making up a genetic code for living organisms. You will use the same nucleotides: adenine, uracil (since this is for mRNA), guanine, and cytosine. However, instead of 20 amino acids, in your system there are 12, labeled aa1 through aa12, where aa stands for amino acid. Also, your codons will be made up of 2 nucleotides each, not 3. 

a) Write out your genetic code, either in circular format or in table format. Your table should show all of the possible codons and what they code for. Recall that the amino acids have numbers in your code, not names, just to make things easier. Note: there are many correct forms for this code but it should be complete, meaning all codons are assigned to something.

b) Write out the correct DNA code (template strand) for a gene coding for a protein made up of the following amino acids: aa2, aa7, aa9, aa4, aa12.

c) For your genetic code, which would cause more problems, an insertion of 1, 2, or 3 nucleotides? Explain!
