Problem:
Success is a dream that every hardworking students struggle to achieve through his/her educational career. But success itself needs various combined factors to be accomplished. The most important factor is academic advising which is an opportunity to exchange information designed to help students reach their educational and career goals.
This responsibility is mainly shared between an adviser and the student himself. At x university, students from all faculties and majors are facing lack of clear academic advising and motivation which includes choice of courses as well as providing the students with sufficient information about the different policies atx universiity, such as number of absences allowed, maximum credits allowed, course overloads, and course withdrawals, and course that are available during fall, spring, and summer.
Many students on campus face difficulties in collecting academic information, ranging between sufficient description of each course whether major or GER, counseling, which defines the strength relationship between the adviser and the student, and also the adjustment of the periods of the semester (spring and fall) and the demands of adding another summer term (summer 2).
Purpose and Scope:
The purpose of this report is to discuss whether or not the faculty and staff members provide the students (prospective and freshmen) with sufficient academic information and advising at X university and help them in order to reach their goals.
The scope of our project will include:
•Availability of personnel
•Needs
•Facilities
The data needed will be obtained from different credible sources, including questionnaires.
