Here is the problem which I am struggling on, please help me!

Problem: Write Kirchhoff's laws for a circuit made of three known resistors in series; prove the equation for combining resistors in series. Consider now a parallel circuit made with three known resistors. Use Kirchhoff's laws to prove the equation for combining resistors in parallel.
