Discussion forums - each post should be max 500 quality words. We are looking for depth not breadth.

Welcome to the living case study. We believe that interactions with the organisation and community of users in social media will enhance and deepen your understanding of the dynamics of marketing. There will be 3 topics for you to examine and discuss with your peers. You will share your experience of interacting with the organisation and other users of the product and then evaluate the relevancy of the theory on the practice and reflect on how your engagement may have impacted on the market.

Choose one organisation from a list of nominated industry/business (ranging from not-for-profit to large global corporation) There are five industry groups and within each industry category there will be a few specific organisations - pick an organisation that appeals to you (e.g. Jetstar /Virgin).

The discussion forums are divided up by industry sectors to facilitate the conversations and create smaller groups - e.g. not-for-profits are one group. The aim is to have up to 10 students per industry group and then divide in to the specific organisation (e.g. five for Cancer Council and five for Red Kite foundation etc).

Once you have your group and your organisation, you need to visit their official website and join social media sites of the nominated business where you can find a 'community of users'- e.g. YouTube/ Twitter/ Facebook. You will use these sites to interact with the company on different topics in the living case study assessment.

You need to write a forum post based on key themes within the nominated topic. We will provide a list of questions (including the key societal trends as per the LO) that will frame the interaction with the organisations/community sites.
