Assignment - Formal Analysis of An Artwork Essay
Description - Write a formal analysis of a 1000-1500 word essay about any image from Google Arts and Culture.
The essay must include a discussion of all the elements and principles in the order that they are listed in the document I am about to send you. All questions in the document/guide I will send you must be answered too.
Each one o those elements and principles must be BOLD the first time it is used in the essay.
Your overall argument and conclusion should address how the artist achieved visual EMPHASIS through the use of each element/principle of art.

A compositional diagram must also be created to accompany the essay. A compositional diagram is the student's visual expression of how the elements and principles work together in a specific work of art.
This diagram is a drawing that may be done by hand or on the computer. It is basically a visual interpretation of your essay, which will use lines and shapes to show the relationship between the different elements of your chosen artwork. For example, if you notice an implied line from a figure's eyes to an object in their hand, you will draw an actual line on top of the artwork from eyes to object.
