Question: Think about and write down your personal credo statements with reference summary of why you chose this credo.
Here is one example:
We all know the golden rule, "I will treat others how I want to be treated." This is a good credo statement, but you may want to take it further. This is what one of your personal credo statements should look like.
Personal Ethics Credo
"I will treat other people how they want to be treated." My interaction with others is important. I want people to feel comfortable with me and I want to make every interaction better for the person I interacted with. Therefore, I will strive to understand every individual and adjust accordingly.
You would list your next credo statement here - and so on.
There are many examples of credo statements - standing up for your beliefs, showing gratitude every day, always do what I say I will do, and the list goes on.
There is no mandatory number nor limit to the number of personal credo statements that you develop. Be thorough, but don't overwhelm yourself. Remember that this will be the foundation for how you want to live overall and will be the checklist that you can reference in the future.
